How the Atlanta Police Department is Supporting the Everyday Mental Health Needs of Officers

In the Atlanta Police Department (APD), about 1,800 sworn officers are exposed to traumatic events on a regular basis. At the same time, most officers feel they can’t be vulnerable or talk about how their experiences affect them emotionally.
